Greenfolk Festival

Last year’s event was a huge success and we hope to build on that for the second year.
Join us for a fun filled day with live bands, children’s natural play area, picnic areas, refreshments and cakes, plant sales and educational eco demonstrations and talks throughout the day, plus activities for children.
Specifically we have the following confirmed – more possibly to follow:-
# Demo on eco friendly fabric printing
# Demo on making seed paper
# Learn about the sustainable methods being used in the garden and how to adopt in your own garden such as no dig, hugelkultur, companion planting and food forest.
# Seed swap – simply bring seeds to swap in labelled envelopes or if no seeds to swap, make a 50p donation per packet.
# Garden Preloved Boutique – find clothes, shoes and accessories at charity shop prices and learn all about sustainable fashion and our future Clothes Swap event.
# For the little ones, we have mask making and the children’s natural play area will be set out again, with the addition of wet sponge stocks (be prepared to get wet adults!) Mini gardens and creature house kit making which will be used to make a creature house wall in the garden.
# Tombola
How to find us:
We are on Hassock Lane South between MFN at Long Lane and Pit Lane. Look out for the banner above the hedge and outside the entrance.
We have limited disabled parking on site. Please send us a message if need to book disabled parking.
At this time of year parking is restricted along the road outside the garden but there is plenty of parking at Pit Lane continuing up to the housing development.
We do have a cycle stand on the Garden but this is not secure and cycles stored there will be at the owner’s risk.
Trent Barton’s Black Cat and No 21 bus services stop outside the garden hourly.
